Do you need some personalised support with your dog’s everyday behaviours?
These private coaching sessions are designed to help with loose lead walking, recall, jumping up, overexcitement, calmness around distractions, and building a strong working relationship through positive reinforcement.
Sessions can be held at Active Dogs NZ HQ on our secure, fully fenced property, or in the comfort of your own home, depending on what suits you best.
Whether you're looking to work on manners around guests, improve leash skills for relaxing walks, or build your dog’s focus and confidence, we’ll tailor the session to your needs.
These 1:1 sessions are all about helping you and your dog succeed—step by step, together.
3-Session Package – $300
Not suitable for dogs displaying reactivity, separation distress, or resource guarding.
Puppy Coaching
Early Days & Pre-Pup Setup
Setting your puppy up for success starts even before they come home!
My pre-puppy consults guide you through everything from setting up your space and preparing for that first night, to managing biting, toileting, sleep routines and creating calm from day one.
If your puppy is already home, my Early Days Private Coaching supports you through those all-important first weeks. We'll focus on confidence building, handling, crate training, socialisation, calmness, play and beginning your foundations using reward-based, puppy-friendly training.
When you book, you’ll also get lifetime access to my Active Puppy Programme – an online course with over 90+ videos covering everything from crate training to recall, settle on a bed, handling, enrichment, loose lead walking and so much more, so you’re supported between sessions and beyond.
$300 Package: 2 in-person sessions + lifetime access to the Online Active Puppy Programme (Course)
(Puppy prep consults can also be booked as one-off sessions)
Sport Dog Coaching
Agility, Flygility & Scentwork
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up your dog sport skills, I offer private sport coaching tailored to your goals. From learning foundations and handling in Agility, to building drive and focus in Flygility, or introducing your dog to the wonderful world of Scentwork, we’ll work at your pace to build skill, confidence, and connection.
Perfect for dogs who aren’t quite ready for group classes or handlers wanting more focused attention, these 1:1 sessions allow for a customised training experience that’s both fun and effective.
Suitable for beginners through to competition-level teams.
Single session 30mins - $50
Packages available on request
Held at Active Dogs NZ HQ, Ohau.

Training Walks
Skill-Building in the Real World
Not every dog thrives in a class setting, or maybe you’re short on time but still want progress. With Training Walks, I take your dog out to a local park or public space to work on loose lead walking, recall, focus around distractions, polite greetings, jumping up, play, scentwork and other everyday manners.
This is real-world training with a professional, helping your dog build useful skills in a variety of environments. You don’t need to be there, I’ll do the groundwork for you.
Ideal for boosting confidence, sharpening manners, or just giving your dog some enriching training time with a qualified coach.
30min - Meet and Greet - $40 (New clients only)
4 Walks Package – $380
Add a Transfer Session for $95 (where I show you what your dog’s learned and how to keep progressing)
Not suitable for dogs displaying reactivity to dogs or people

We do not work with any of the following behaviour challenges:

Dog Registration and Microchipping
All dogs over the age of 3 months attending classes are required to be registered and microchipped
(unless otherwise informed)
(Schedule 1 of the Dog Control Act 1996)
All dogs must be fully vaccinated to attend classes or 1:1 coaching
Puppies attending Preschool - must have had at least the 1st vaccination
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policies

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give at least 48 hrs notice:

Up to 72 hours before the session - Refund minus the administration fee of $25

36-72 hour notice - refund of 50% cost of the session

No refund if cancelling within 36 hours of the start of the session

No refund after completion of the first session and inability to continue to full course completion
